This is not your typical hibachi restaurant. My boyfriend and I thought it was a hibachi place where the person cooks the food in front of you. We walked in and this place was completely empty. We were the only customers in here. You order the food upfront like a fast food place and pay. Sit down and they'll bring out the food to you. The food was large portions and it was really cheap for the amount of food we both got. We could have ordered one and shared it. We got two teriyaki chicken hibachi for $17.99. Do not get the fountain water here. It had a lemonade taste to the water and it just tasted bad.

Its better than average, quick Hibachi food, It is Authentic, fresh and made to order Japanese Hibachi food. i always enjoy my meal. They have Sushi rolls, some fried items, i like the shrimp roll, the fried cheese cake is good too.

Wow! Was very impressed with this little place. My hibachi steak with rice and vegetables was very well seasoned. It was also fast and cheap! A great find for when you want hibachi without the long wait and high price. They have tables -- not just drive through. And check out the lunch specials - great cheap and healthy eats.

Good food. Fried rice was excellent. Veggies were very crisp. Only down side was the unpleasant odor in the building. But food was good. I would recommend.

I mostly wanted to come here because I was perplexed by the idea of a drive through hibachi place. It was a pleasant surprise to end up with solidly good food! I got a steak lunch bowl, which is simply hibachi steak and rice, and was quite pleased. The steak was seasoned well and cooked medium well, so it was still a little juicy. Try the white sauce (shrimp sauce) for a little kick to your rice. Wish we had one of these at home for a fast, yummy, cheap lunch.

I can see why there are more takeout orders than dine in, the smell. I got the steak and shrimp hibachi with noodles and rice. The steak was very bland but the rest was good. It seems like the average to go Japanese place.

I wanted to like this place, I really did. The folks who work there are kind and lovely. The food was mostly bad. A few high points, filet mignon was delish as was the tuna roll. But, my entire family got sick to their stomachs a bit later. It wasn't a great experience.

I picked this place because it showed 4 stars. The sushi was mediocre and bland. The cashier didn't ask my friend how she wanted her filet mignon cooked. The shrimp sauce was nasty. The chicken and shrimp was ok. I've had better overall.

I never want to go to that place again. It smells like a porter potty. The bathrooms are discussing. And plus the fried rice tastes like pizza (bad pizza). This restaurant claims that its a sushi bar but all they had on the menu was 6 different rolls. I got a few and they looked & tasted gross. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

We were skeptical at first but this restaurant turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Don't let the bad reviews deter you away from this place. I had the steak hibachi and my girlfriend had the shrimp and chicken. Both were full of flavor and the portions were generous. The vegetables were crisp and the noodles and rice were cooked perfectly.

This place is truly a diamond in the rough! After arriving at our hotel in MB rather late at night, my boyfriend and I didn't have many nearby options that sounded tasty, let alone that were open. We saw Tokyo across the way and saw that it was still open, so we decided to give it a try. Once we got inside, yeah, it wasn't exactly the most beautiful hibachi restaurant I've ever been to, but Tokyo is sort of a fast food hibachi option- you don't get a show with your meal, but it's a fraction of the cost that it would be if you were sitting down. So that's something. We were the only people in the restaurant (at 9:45 pm, so this wasn't surprising), but our hibachi dinners and sushi roll were quickly made for us after the sushi chef kindly helped us through the menu. The food? Fantastic. Completely unexpected. My steak was tender and juicy, and the boyfriend's shrimp was incredibly flavorful. Even the standard mixed veggies were crisp and delicious! It was about $25 for two hibachi dinners and a spicy tuna roll (which was also so tasty), which is a pretty good deal for how much food you're getting. I would definitely go again- it takes a great place to be able to pull off fast hibachi like they do!

Food was OK. The previous reviews stating the place smelled like a toilet were spot on, the smell was especially strong next to soda machine. My biggest disappointment was the ladies restroom sink, the faucet was covered in MOLD! I skipped washing my hands, it was absolutely disgusting! If I had not already consumed my food, I would have bolted. Now, it's a waiting game- I am just hoping I do not get food poisoning.

Great food, price and service but the smell was terrible inside the restaurant. Make it to go and you should be alright.

My husband and I went here while visiting Myrtle Beach on vacation. For some reason Charlotte lacks the quick pick me up Japanese that we're used to in Boone. This place is located a block over from the strip, and was about a mile away from where we were staying. They have a drive through, but we decided to go in and order takeout. We got the hibachi steak, teriyaki chicken, and an order of potstickers. You have a choice between the fried rice or steamed rice and we both got the fried rice. The Hibachi steak was very good. The pieces were large strips, good for dipping in their white sauce which was also good. The veggies were broccoli, zucchini, squash, and onions. The potstickers were also very good, and came with their own dipping sauce, but who can say no to a white sauce? The only thing I didn't like was the fried rice. I didn't eat more than a bite of it, and my husband had to drown it in white sauce to eat it. It didn't taste or look like normal fried rice, but rather that they added teriyaki sauce to it and tossed it around. The wait wasn't long at all, and the employees were very friendly. I definitely recommend to anyone in Myrtle Beach looking for something a bit different, and who don't want to wait long.

So to my surprise this is like a fast food hibachi. You order at the front and they bring it to your table. Prices are very reasonable but you get what you pay for. Food is sub par. Rice and veggies are good especially if you put their "white sauce" on everything it will make your food more flavorful.. My friend got the steak and shrimp and described it like a burger patty. The shrimp were very small bit they did give a good portion. I wouldn't suggest the sushi. It came out warm which concerned me because it was a raw sushi roll. I did go up to the register and asked nicely to get my money back. He was very cooperative and nice about it. Overall, food was okay. I don't think I would return again.

I read some reviews and was nervous about trying this place. We dined in and the food was actually really good if not the best japenese I've had. The building is a complete dive so I would recommend taking the food back to your hotel. The AC wasnt working or wasnt working very good so I believe thats where the smell comes from. The service was slow but the owners were very nice. My steak, chicken, and shrimp were tender and perfectly cooked. Recommend this place.
